Funny activities on NDA
A month before christmas NDA held a very nice and extremely cosy christmas party for dogs and their owners. The party was held from 15.00 to 18.00 in the afternoon. The first dog and his owner arrived at 14.30. It was Charlie and his mom, Charlie had brougth his cousin and his aunt for the party. Both dogs are magnificent specimen of the black Cocker Spaniel males. Charlie is one of our very good Agility dogs at our training center.  Charlie, Tasha (a female collie from our Agility team) and his cousin waiting for all the fun to get started. First all the dogs was given a number. The owners were told to save the number untill after we had danced around the tree, singing christmas songs. Our Agilitytrainers two sons, Anders and Jacob, picked out two lovely christmas songs we bawled as we danced around the tree. The noises from the dogs just "died" out the instant we began to sing. I am sure the poor dogs were close to a chock. They didn't want to try to make them selves heard above our noise. Around the tree we danced. Some dogs really had a hard time waiting to get all the nice smelly things under and on the tree, so Amy (a young bull terrier female) decided to do something about it by herself. She ment that while her owner anyway dragged her around the tree, she could as well have a good time with it, so while all the owners were busy singing, she took a nice toy in a turn.  Amy here with her stolen goods. Everybody else was laughing, especially because it wasn't their dog who was the thief and her owner was very embarrassed. After all the bawling and dancing around the tree, Laila (our Agility trainer) began to call out the numbers. The boys helped each other finding the presents under og on the tree for the dogs. The dog that had the same number got the present with the same number on it. There were ONLY presents for the dogs but we had 3-4 presents for each dog. The presents were kindly sponsored by Aalborg Vet. hospital, Maxi zoo Aalborg, Kruuse,The butcher in Tylstrup, Whattoear, clothes for dogs and cats, Clip and shape dog trimmer Ulsted.  Ghandi gets his rightfull present as his number belongs to the present, no steeling. During all the distributing of the presents my sweet and dear mother and mother in law, had set a very nice table for the owners. The table was set with a lof of the christmas sweets and drinks, for everybody.  A smart Theis and his mom decided to stay close to the well set table. It was some lovely hours together with a lot of nice dogs that had brought their owners with them. All was extremly well behaved and well mannered. We will certainly do it again next year. |
